PUMA MOBILE UNIT

Although a well-known brand worldwide, there are still many cities without a dedicated Puma store. Puma was looking for a way to break into these cities. The time had come to deploy the PMU.

A converted shipping container that could be transported by land or sea, the PMU arrived in cities and opened its doors to a unique shopping experience. The concept was to brand it like a mobile emergency clinic, responding to fashion crises around the world.

On the inside, the clinic came to life with trompe l'oeil graphic panels. The issue of limited space meant that nothing was real - down to the red 'waiting room' chairs you see against the wall, the air vent and the hospital style lino, it was actually all simply photographs printed onto vinyl.

The PMU was so successful that two were produced and have travelled the world from the Americas, to Africa, Asia and Europe.
