NHS BLUE BELL CENTRE: WAYFINDING ART
twenty-five and a half was recently commissioned to produce an innovative wayfinding system for the NHS's Blue Bell centre in Knowsley, Merseyside. The greenest new health centre in the UK, this architecturally stunning building is already becoming a local landmark.

Four doctors surgeries moved to one new building. To help patients find their surgery, I created a wayfinding scheme to guide patients through the space whilst complementing the buildings architecture and sustainability credentials.

Timber was cut into thousands of wooden triangles that formed an unusual triangular grid, and this was used to create a system of colours and icons that take patients on a journey from the entrance to their doctor's reception.

Some initial photos below from installation day - better ones to follow soon!
